Satruna's Midweek Mutiny: Favorites

Editor's Note: This post was written by Pacific Northwest band, Saturna. This is part of a series of posts that they are doing today. See below for links to the rest.

With our sabers in our teeth, our eye patches firmly in place and our pistols tucked into our belts, we slowly slink towards the captain’s quarters. It’s almost light as we tip toe 'round the corner. We can hear the slow breathing from within as we enter the room, sweep back the curtains and declare Midweek Mutiny! Sorry Joe, step aside or face the plank.

Seriously though, big thanks to Joe for letting us take over IA today, as we introduce Saturna.

We’re a band from the Pacific Northwest corner of the good ol’ USA. We don’t usually specify a city here, and that’s because we kind of straddle two. Ryan lives in Portland. Eric just moved from there to Seattle, where Steve has always lived. Sometimes it’s a challenge dividing our time between two towns, and there’s definitely lots of driving, but we think that it keeps us fresh. We definitely get multiple perspectives this way and that’s a good thing.

The three of us started playing fuzzy, dirty, driving, psychedelic bliss pop together a couple of years back, through a series of strange synchronicities; and amazing music ensued. We quickly discovered that we loved much of the same music. Instead of listing all of our favorite bands, we decided to show you some of their music videos and link those tracks. We'll be back later with some of our local favorites, our take on stardom, today's best indie and maybe even a contest.
