Baltimore's Spotlight Show of the Week: Forget Cassettes and AVECduet

I had to save the best for last. On Thursday night, AVECduet will be having a cd release party at The Talking Head. Nashville's Forget Cassettes will also be on the bill. They are suporting their superb new disc Salt. If you forget how I feel about them, see this to refresh your memory.



AVECduet is one half of local band AVEC. I know, how the hell did they get a band like Forget Cassettes to play their cd release party? Shawna Potter (AVEC's lead singer) used to be in a Nashville band called Fair Verona. Two of her bandmates were Forget Cassettes singer Beth Cameron and drummer Aaron Ford. Once you listen to their mp3, this pairing will make sense. They really are not too bad themselves. This should be a stellar show and I highly recommend it to anyone who will be in the area.
