The New Frontiers

Before giving The New Frontiers a listen, I read that they were touring around covering Gillian Welch’s “Look At Miss Ohio” – a deed that could, in my opinion, either make of break them. Fortunately, they passed the task with flying colors. The New Frontiers are hitting the road on a coast-to-coast national tour in support of Mending, their debut record released earlier this year via The Millitia Group. The Dallas based quintet has already spent all of 2007 touring alongside the likes of Manchester Orchestra, Colour Revolt, the Annuals and Denison Witmer and now they’re coming our way. Check out frontman Nathan Pettijohn’s raw vocal delivery, bolstered by a quiet alt-country; a must for all Ryan Adam’s or Wilco fans.
