Evening Magazine

The new music continues with Philly's Evening Magazine, who are releasing their debut EP, The Ride Across Lake Constance, on January 27. Founded by ex-BC Camplight guitarist David Disbrow and recording engineer Kevin Francis, they are a collective in every sense imaginable. Featuring around 9 members, they play contemplative indie on a grand scale, using everything from harp to horns. The comparisons will undoubtedly be made to Arcade Fire and Margot and The Nuclear So and So's. Fair? Maybe, but I have a strong suspicion that this band can hold up just fine on their own accord. Check out lead single, "Apple Eye," for a taste.
