Alamo Race Track

Amsterdam dwellers, Alamo Race Track, are quite proud of their eerily peppy single “Black Cat John Brown”, and for good reason. With a YouTube video topping 680,000 views (watch it below) and a feature on Grey’s Anatomy, the tambourine-obsessed understated post-punk/blues indies fall somewhere between The Strokes and every era of The Beatles; not an uncomfortable, or easy, landing to make. Drawing most of their fan base from Europe, they’ve championed many of America’s music festivals, including CMJ and a recent SXSW stint. The album of the same name, is out now (buy).
