Some Things Seldom Heard Of comes along right when you thought that you have heard everything. T. Hussman and Bryan Ellis are the duo behind Aster. They hail from what is my own personal Mecca (and theirs too), Austin, Texas. The simple licks on the keys and swelling guitar chords pull you in for the album’s debut title track, “Some Things Seldom Heard Of”, leaving you with just a hint of melancholy, while “We Won’t Remember” and “Attempting To Multiply” bring back the good ole days of Grandaddy. Right now, they have no dates in the northeast. Hopefully that will happen soon. In the meantime, enjoy some tracks.
