Thanks so very much for last night’s tickets to The Barns at Wolf Trap. My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves. The opener, David Berkleley, got a great reaction from the audience, as much for his humor as for his music. He sang for about 40 minutes and later joined Vienna Teng for her final song, “Soon, Love, Soon.”

I’ve been listening to Vienna Teng since my boyfriend and I first heard her several years ago at the Iota, when she was still touring as a solo artist and promoting her first CD. She had three musicians accompanying her last night – the beginning of her Green Caravan Tour. Many of her songs, at least 7, were from her new CD, “Dreaming through the Noise,” but she played some of her older songs as well, most notably, an updated arrangement of “Gravity.” As always, she introduced each of her songs with a brief story. She also spent quite a lot of time talking about her commitment to improving the environment and her plans to help out at Habitat for Humanity the next day with her band.

So much fun – thank you again!
