Another October Week in the Baltimore Region

We are yet another week closer to winter. However, it is hard to notice with all of the great live music that continues to filter through the region.

Tuesday night brings the alt country of Rhett Miller to Sonar. Black Cat has a great show with Sparta, Sound Team and Lola Ray. The Purrs and The Village Green play another great show at The Red and Black Bar.

On Friday, MSTRKRFT bring their beats to Sonar. Islands and Sister Suvi will give you a night of eclectic indie at The Ottobar.

Saturday is packed. You can go see atleast 3 shows if you plan it right. For breakfast, head downtown for a free show. Our friends, Middle Distance Runner will be playing the Celebration Village of The Baltimore Marathon at 9AM sharp. From there, head to Annapolis to see Hem play a noon matinee at Rams Head Tavern. Cap your day off with one of the great shows that hits the region. Minus the Bear, The Velvet Teen and Russian Circles play at Black Cat. DC9 has The Hard Tomorrows and Greenland. Quips has The April Skies playing a rare acoustic show just before their new album drops.

End the week in style. Jenny Lewis & the Watson Twins play at 9:30 Club. Finally, my friends Telograph play at Black Cat.
