Hello Again
Finally, I am home. It seems like it has been forever. I had a nice relaxing week in the Caribbean, but I am definitely happy to be home. When I heard a cab driver cuss out someone at the airport, I knew that I was back in Baltimore and it felt great.

I came home to a full inbox and lots of odds and ends that I did not get to before I left. Of course, this is the week of ACL Fest which means that some of that stuff may have to wait. Between the festival, the pre and post shows and all of the non-ACL stuff, Mike is going to need a hand. My friends in the Baltimore region need not worry, I will be doing my regular coverage of our area too. The point is, this will be a chaotic week with all sorts of information thrown your way.

While we may be a bit heavy on the Austin end this week, there will be plenty of other stuff to balance it out. We will still do our Thursday Throwback (I dreamt up a good one while I was swimming in the ocean this past Thursday), I will get to my review of the show I attended before I left, I will cover some of the bands that I was working with prior to my departure and I am sure there will be plenty of other things. Additionally, I hope to announce IA's first ever contest at some point this week. There are also many events occuring in the Northeast in the upcoming weeks, so we should have plenty to talk about for the forseeable future. I missed you guys, so drop me a line and say hi. If you have something that I need to hear, please send an e-mail and I will be happy to check it out.

On a final note, every vacation has a song. On this particular one, that song came relatively early. While I was taking off from BWI last weekend, I had my iPod on shuffle. The song that came on as we were lifting off of the ground ended up being my theme of the entire week. I listened to it all 4 times that my plane was taking off and landing. I think it had about 20 plays last week. The song is from a Baltimore band called The Payola Reserve. Other than a mention of one of their concerts, I really haven't covered them. You will most likely be hearing more from them in the future, so definitely let me know what you think.

By the way, the pictures in this post were taken on my vacation. I guess that I forgot to mention that. Blame the jetlag. 15 hours of traveling in one day will do that to you!
